We are nearly at the end of 2019 and even though I said I would be blogging more this year, life unfortunately got in the way. So here I am almost at the end of November writing my first blog of the year! Well this year has definitely been memorable, for good and bad reasons but as I am a half glass full kinda girl lets focus on the good 🙂 In January I decided that I would like to work from home more and also train in a few new treatments and services and so I booked myself onto courses with leading brands in the industry and chose – HD Brows, Novalash and LVL lash lift and tint. I have always previously chosen brands that are what I considered “Industry Leaders” because they are well known, high quality products, training and services and it has always served me well. Yes you can find cheaper alternatives by why not give my clients the best!
Even though I had booked these new and exciting courses and services I didn’t actually want to offer them freelance because I spend a lot of my day on the road, waste time traveling when I could book more clients in and I didn’t want to lug around any more kits than I usually do, so my kind hubby converted our very nice clad shed (that he built) into a studio for me so I could work from home with the correct lighting and equipment. I love my home studio in Grundisburgh, its bright, jolly and fun. I sell lots of different items such as makeup, products, artwork and accessories supplied by local businesses and artists……more details of each are on my social media pages.
Because I have invested so much this year I need to be busy and when I say busy, I mean really busy! The studio and new services have been going really well but maybe because it’s the pre Christmas lull or even the uncertainly of Brexit I have been slightly more quiet than normal in the past few weeks and so when I was asked to work a couple of days in Ipswich Town Centre I jumped at the chance, thank you Beauty Bar Ipswich for asking me to be part of your expanding team and I can’t wait to work at your new salon in St Peter’s Street (No 31, first floor), meet new clients and have some company haha. So please if you have read this far pop in and see me at either location, I will be at my home studio in Grundisburgh – Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, at The Beauty Bar – Thursday and Fridays and freelance the rest of the week. Also please follow Cherry Pie Makeovers on Facebook and Instagram to see my recent work and a great Black Friday offer coming up.
